Annette & Simon
Founders of Riggzy Kitchens – 2011 to Present
In 2011, Husband and Wife team, Simon and Annette embarked on a new mission – to create a small family run business. For over 20 years Simon had been a self-employed kitchen fitter, he is a fully qualified carpenter with kitchen fitting being his speciality, and for over 20 years Annette had worked in various roles within the retail world including shop assistant, team leader and manager – she really had worked in them all! After this time, they decided to put their knowledge together and create Riggzy’s!
In 2021, they decided to semi-retire to the South of France! leaving Zoe and Suzanne in charge of running the showroom and Charlie in charge of all fitting! Although, you may still see them from time to time when they visit their three children Zoe, Adam and Georgia, you won’t always get to meet them, but just know they are still there in the background helping them all along their way!
They are thoroughly loving life in the south of France and have taken on the project of renovating an over 200-year-old Maison du Matre. They enjoy quality family time when their children visit them or they visit here!
Zoe
Managing Director – 2015 to Present
Prior to working with her parents, Zoe worked in numerous customer service roles so meeting with customers old and new was second nature to her. Learning the art of kitchen design was no mean feat, but growing up with a kitchen fitter for a dad; she already had a lot of knowledge she didn’t know she had.
In 2015, Zoe started working just on Saturdays to begin with, in the showroom, assisting with phone calls, admin and selling our kitchens. Over time Annette and Simon taught her the art of designing a practical, fully functioning kitchen. It was important to be trained from Simon as well as Annette in order to get a fitter’s perspective on the design! Come late 2016 – after the birth of their first daughter Lexie, Zoe joined the team on more of a full-term basis. She is now one of the managing directors for the company over seeing the smooth running of all our kitchens and bedrooms.
Zoe is a 3rd Dan Blackbelt in Wado Ryu Karate and 1st Degree Black Belt in Kickboxing. She has over 20 years’ experience in martial arts and has been training since 2001. Zoe teaches a children’s SKMA Karate class every Thursday evening, which she loves! Both her children share this passion with her!
Charlie
Site Manager – 2016 to Present
Charlie is married to Zoe and dad of Lexie and Amber – the future of Riggzy Kitchens! Before joining us, Charlie worked with people who had learning disabilities and in various retail outlets. So, coming to be kitchen fitter for Riggzy’s was a huge challenge to him, which he has excelled in!
In 2016, Charlie joined the team. For the first 5 years Charlie worked alongside Simon learning how to fit a kitchen, the Riggzy Way, and how to over-come any potential hurdles. He completed training courses on how to fit solid surface worktops as well as plumbing! Charlie is now our sole fitter and on-site project manager – occasionally inspected by Simon to keep him on his toes!
As much as Charlie enjoys fitting kitchens/bedrooms, in his spare time he likes to go fishing with or without his children!
